About me

We all have times in our lives when we feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed and consumed. Times when we wonder,” Why do I do what I do?” “Who am I, really?” and” What does it all mean?” Times when we feel that the messages we received growing up had failed us. We may wonder why we feel empty despite being outwardly prosperous, or why we feel lonely even when surrounded by our loved ones. We may feel like we are the only one in the world feeling those feelings — especially, as we look around and see others self-composed like they “have it all,” or, at least, appear to have it all together. It is easy in those moments to compare our inside with their outside, only to exacerbate our feelings of loneliness and emptiness.

I decided to become a therapist after realizing it’s quite common to feel anxious, confused, challenged in relationships, or to lack a sense of direction in one’s life. When I realized that the idea of a “normal” human being is far more expansive than the impression of normality I received from the media and society at large, I decided that I wanted to be part of the solution and help others to be mindful of the subconscious influences on their perspectives, behaviors, and inner narratives.

As a therapist, I help my clients feel seen for who they truly are. I validate their experience and I help them gain insight about their lives. I help them recognize what they want, what they fear, and why they do what they do. With enough self-knowledge, patterns emerge, and together we work on ways to intervene with those patterns. I lovingly guide them through their journey, as we unpack what gets in the way of creating the change they seek. I hold out hope for them and a strong belief in their capabilities. Eventually, I see them internalize this hope and adopt the wisdom received from our work together.
