About me

Having over 15 years of experience in the mental health field across Egypt and the UK, supporting children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds has helped me develop a deep understanding of both worlds.
I have extensive experience supporting ADHD, anxiety, low mood, grief, family and relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, and the emotional impact of migration and displacement. I also support parents in understanding their children’s emotional world, strengthening communication, and building connections within the family. My experience working across age groups has made me highly aware of how attachment patterns and early childhood experiences can shape our personalities and influence how we relate to ourselves and others as we grow.

I have worked as well extensively in primary and secondary schools, supporting parents in understanding and addressing their children’s emotional and behavioural needs, navigating school meetings, and using school resources in a more holistic and supportive way.

I offer a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and tailored approach to therapy. I understand that every individual’s story is unique, and I do not believe in a “one size fits all” model. Instead, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including client-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and creative modalities. I integrate creative and non-verbal methods such as narrative therapy and art-based techniques, weaving them with talking therapy according to your pace and needs. These approaches can offer different ways to express your thoughts and feelings, especially when words feel difficult, overwhelming, or limiting, whether for teens or adults. They can support deeper emotional expression and gently help process complex experiences such as depression, bereavement, difficult relationship transitions, and identity-related challenges.

In our work together, I aim to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. Therapy with me is collaborative; we move at your pace, exploring both difficulties and strengths, while building practical tools for coping, resilience, and a deeper understanding of what is going on.
