About me
Professional Biography:
I am a COSRT-accredited Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, Accredited Sex Addiction Therapist, and a Fellow of the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH, RCOG).
With a medical background as a gynaecologist, I have always been deeply interested in the connection between sexual medicine, psychosexual therapy, and relationships. Since 2008, I have had the privilege of leading the Psychosexual Clinic at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in London, where I have worked with individuals and couples from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Over the past 17 years, I have helped clients navigate and overcome a wide range of sexual and relational difficulties.
In addition to my clinical work, I currently serve as Vice President of the Association of Psychosexual Therapists (APT) and am honoured to be a Fellow of the Association. I am also Vice President and a Co-Founder of the East Mediterranean Federation for Sexual Health (EMFeSH), established in collaboration with the World Association for Sexual Medicine (WAS).
As a tutor, supervisor, and Associate Director for the Middle East with the NAOS Institute’s Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, I am passionate about supporting and mentoring the next generation of psychosexual and relationship therapists.
My dream is to continue spreading knowledge and professional training in psychosexual and relationship therapy throughout the Middle East and MENA region, empowering therapists to approach sexuality and relationships with sensitivity, confidence, and cultural understanding.
Clinical Approach:
I integrate my medical expertise with evidence-based psychosexual and relationship therapy to offer a holistic approach to sexual wellbeing. I believe that physical, psychological, cultural, religious, and relational factors are deeply intertwined, and that addressing neglected medical or physiological aspects can often be the key to restoring intimacy and connection.
Having worked with people from many different backgrounds, I am deeply aware of cultural, social, and religious diversity, and I always tailor my approach to reflect each client’s individual needs, values, and context.
Clients often describe me as calm, compassionate, and warm. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where people feel heard, understood, and supported as they work through their difficulties toward a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with themselves and their partners.
Areas of Expertise:
I offer assessment and treatment for a wide range of psychosexual and relational concerns, including:
– Relationship and communication issues (individual and couples therapy)
– Vaginismus (difficulty with penetration)
– Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
– Erectile dysfunction
– Ejaculatory difficulties (premature, delayed, or inhibited)
– Orgasmic difficulties
– Loss of sexual desire and arousal
– Sexual anxiety and non-consummation
– Sexual trauma and abuse recovery
– Sex addiction and compulsive sexual behaviour
– Impact of trauma and domestic violence on sexual functioning
Clinical and Therapeutic Focus:
– Orgasmic Disorders
I support men and women experiencing difficulties achieving orgasm by helping them explore the emotional, relational, and physiological aspects contributing to their experience.
– Erectile and Ejaculatory Problems
I combine psychosexual therapy with medical assessment to address performance anxiety, relational strain, and biological causes, helping clients rebuild confidence and sexual satisfaction.
– Vaginismus and Dyspareunia
I provide sensitive, step-by-step treatment for painful or difficult penetration, integrating medical assessment with gradual desensitisation and psychological support.
– Loss of Sexual Desire
I work with clients to understand and address the multifactorial causes of low sexual desire — including stress, trauma, illness, medication, or relationship breakdown — using psychosexual education, communication enhancement, and emotional exploration.
Professional Philosophy:
I believe that sexual wellbeing is a vital part of overall health and emotional fulfilment. Through my integrative and compassionate approach, I aim to help clients and couples rediscover connection, confidence, and intimacy in their sexual and relational lives.
My work is guided by empathy, evidence-based practice, and a deep respect for each client’s individual journey.
