About me

I am a qualified Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), specialising in identity, trauma and belonging. As a Syrian–Palestinian–French therapist, I bring a culturally attuned perspective to my work, supporting people who feel caught between worlds, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.

You might be struggling with questions of identity, belonging, anxiety, burnout, or the lasting impact of traumatic experiences. You may find yourself questioning where you belong, feeling pulled between different expectations, or carrying a sense that something is “wrong” with you. Therapy can offer a safe place to explore these experiences with care and curiosity. I provide a warm, collaborative environment where we can make sense of what you’ve been carrying and begin to move towards meaningful change, at a pace that feels right for you.

You might be coming to therapy because you are:

– Feeling overwhelmed, burnt out or emotionally exhausted
– Struggling with anxiety, low mood or self-doubt
– Trying to make sense of past or overwhelming experiences
– Navigating questions of identity, culture or belonging
– Feeling stuck in patterns in relationships or in your life

My approach is client-centred, culturally rooted and trauma-informed. I see you as the expert on your own world, and we shape the work around your goals, values and hopes for change. I pay close attention to how past experiences, relationships, culture and wider context may have shaped your sense of self and the difficulties you are facing today. I hold culture and context as central to understanding mental health, and I am attentive to the ways identity, power and life experiences can shape distress. Clients often describe my approach as thoughtful, warm and reflective, while also gently helping them notice patterns and develop new ways of relating to themselves and others.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, as well as psychodynamic and systemic perspectives, tailoring the work to your individual needs. Some clients come for short-term, focused work around a specific issue, while others seek longer-term space for deeper exploration. Our initial assessment is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy, what you would like to change, and what kind of support might be most helpful.

I have worked with children, young people and adults across NHS, third-sector and private settings, supporting people experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties from mild to complex mental health needs. Alongside my private practice, I also work at Power The Fight, an organisation focused on empowering communities to end violence affecting young people.

I offer in-person sessions in London Bridge and online. My fee is £120 per session. I currently offer sessions on Mondays and Fridays between 9am–6pm. While my primary working language is English, I also offer therapy in French and Arabic. Finding the right therapist is important, and I welcome an initial conversation to see whether working together feels like a good fit. Please get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute consultation.
